Club Chair | Neil Preddy | Convenes and chairs committee meetings and the AGM. Coordinates the work of the committee and officers of the club and represents the club at meetings of the Oxfordshire Athletics Association and Oxfordshire Cross-Country League. |
Vice Chair | Ralf Arneil | Assists the Chair and chairs meetings if the Chair is unavailable |
Club Secretary | Iain Caxton | Manages correspondence between the club and other organisations. Administers the club handicap schemes and manages the training schedule. Supports the Treasurer and is a signatory for cheques. Represents the club at meetings of the Oxfordshire Athletics Association and Oxfordshire Cross-Country League. |
Club Treasurer | Alan Harrison | Ensures proper accounts are kept and provides the committee with accurate reports on the club’s financial position. Produces annual accounts for the AGM. Ensures fees are collected and bills are paid. |
Club Captains | Caroline Johstone and Tom Preskett | Encourages club members to participate in competitive races and ensures we have teams in the various team competitions. Administers club entries to team competitions, Reports to the committee on club performances. Captains are focused on the Road Race Grand Prix, Mota-vation Series and Cross Country. |
Membership Secretary | Phil Horgan | Manages new membership applications, registers new members with England Athletics and renews membership for existing members annually. Reports on membership to the committee and proposes new members to the committee for ratification. |
Club Welfare Officers | Ralf Arneil and Susan Haines | Ensures the club has good practices in relation to members welfare and safeguarding. A confidential point of contact for anyone who is concerned that they have seen or been subject to bullying, abuse or other behaviour that threatens their welfare or that of other members. |
Training Leader | Roger Bradley | Plans and leads club training sessions, including the Tuesday night effort sessions. |
Members | Lucy Dunn Ed King Louis Warden | Support the officers of the club in the tasks outlined above. Attend committee meetings to contribute advice and make decisions. |
