James Bolton made it two Grand Prix wins in a row following his Thame 10K Victory last week leading from gun to tape in a new Club V40 record. Kevin Game finished overall 4th to secure the Senior Men’s County title whilst Jake and Alan Harrison helped the Club to County team gold. Paul Brackett was the only Oxfordshire athlete to finish completing exactly 100 miles in the allotted 24-hour time. Paul started strongly at 11 am on Friday but during the early hours of Saturday suffered with sickness and was unable to keep any food or drink down. He recovered well at first light but had to increase his pace to meet the 100 mile target and just managed this with a series of 2:30 laps. Winning distance: 127.3 miles Number of starters: 25

Sunday 8th September 2013 – Witney Cotswold Classic 10-Miile (County 10-Mile Championships)
James Bolton had what must be regarded as one of his finest races for the Club running close to a personal best and almost a minute and a half faster than last year over this very hilly course. James is County Champion, Dave Cantwell 2nd County V40, Kevin Game 3rd County Senior Man and Susan Haines 3rd LV55 in Open & County races. Our men are County Team Champions. There were personal bests from Cyrus Mower, Neil Preddy,Will Hudson, Colin Travi and Val Berryman-Bousquet and debut 10-Mile runs for the Club from Jake Harrison, Alan Harrison, Lisa Clarke, Liz Ashdowne, Adrian Smith and Nadine Sandjo Winning time: 54:08(Men) / 66:48(Women) Number of finishers: 309

Sunday 15th September 2013 – Middle Barton 5K
James Bolton ran 25 miles and Dave Cantwell 23 miles on Saturday; both ran 8 miles to the race and still came 1st and 4th respectively. Eileen Doherty and Val Berryman-Bousquet flew the Woodstock women’s flag with strong runs over an undulating course.
